We really enjoyed the ancient theater in the town of Orange. The town visit to Le Baux was a disappointment since we were unable to enter the castle without paying an additional fee-the tour description included the breathtaking view from this castle. Loved the quaint village of Roussillon, but felt rushed. Pont du Garden was an amazing site. Again, not enough time to climb to view points or visit the museum. This was the second time the guide had done this tour, so, although he was friendly, he did not have much to add about the sites and should have narrated the various sites while we rode in the van. Lots of driving. We took a Viator tour when we were in Barcelona. The tour guide there was constantly giving us a commentary of the places on our tour. So, overall we were disappointed in this tour for the money we spent.
My husband and I really enjoyed the tour of the Dali Museum and the visit to Dali home in the fishing village of Cadaques. The tour guide was a wealth of information about the artist and talked about him during the ride to reach Figueres. Those in the tour who sat in the back of the van could not hear the guide very well, so i would suggest that Viator give each person a head set for the ride so they don't miss the information about the artist's life. The museum was interesting and unusual as was the artist. Don't miss the separate jewelry collection-amazing. There was time in the lovely and quaint village of Cadaques to have lunch before visiting Dali's beach front home-another look into the strange and fascinating life and creations of the ecentric artist.
