Skip the Line: Louvre Museum Walking Tour including Venus de Milo and Mona Lisa

Paris, France

My Rating
5 star rating: Highly Recommended

My Review

To see the Louvre without the benefit of a guide is to miss 90% - unless you are an art expert yourself!
In just over three hours we enjoyed the most amazing art lesson and came to appreciate works that we would otherwise walk past thinking.. "what's so great about that?"
Individual headsets meant that we never missed a word that our expert guide had to say - even if we were gazing elsewhere... what a great use of technology!

Giverny and Monet's Garden Small Group Day Trip from Paris

Paris, France

My Rating
4 star rating: Recommended

My Review

See another side of Paris with this half day tour. See a little of the French countryside. When you get to to Monet's house and garden you will be in awe as you view scenes that are familiar in his paintings - and still there today.
The tour guide was only average - but you can't have exceptional every time. Sadly the microphone in the van wasn't working so we felt bad for the people in seats behind us who couldn't hear any of the commentary.
Destination: Fabulous.
Tour execution (on this occasion) only average.

My Review

What an amazing value cruise! Several hours travelling canals in Paris to finally end up in the Seine. At one point the canal was UNDERGROUND for approximately 3kms! Phantom of the Opera revisited!
Take the trip and see a side of Paris that many miss.

2-Day Loch Ness and Inverness Small Group Tour from Edinburgh

Edinburgh, United Kingdom

My Rating
5 star rating: Highly Recommended

My Review

This tour company knows there stuff! At the beginning of the tour our driver/guide gave some background and assured us that he wouldn't talk the way... and then proceeded to talk for most of the next two days regaling us with interesting facts woven tales of Highlands and Scottish history. Paul (our driver) had the fabulous ability to tell stories in cliff hanger format, allowing them to unfold at the right time along our journey. Being a small group tour kept it flexible and responsive to the group.

The Royal Yacht Britannia

Edinburgh, United Kingdom

My Rating
5 star rating: Highly Recommended

My Review

Edinburgh is a surprising and wonderful place to visit. The Royal Yacht Britannia is a "must see" while you are there. The history is is presented in a slick and memorable way. Spring for lunch or tea in the on board cafe while you are there. It is not that expensive and the ambience is fabulous. Allow 2.5 to 3 hours for your visit.
