A very full, and busy day. It was reversed in that we did the Keukenhof in the morning. The floral displays were amazing, in their prime.
The trip to Volendam: skip the cheese factory demo and take in the little shops and try the food instead. We almost missed the boat!!
Maarken: Beautiful old village- would loved to have spent more time wandering through and tasting the local fares.
Zaanse Schans Windmills: arrived there at 5pm and had to leave by 6pm! All we had time for was picture taking - no time to wander in and out of the shops, windmills, or anything else.
Still, all in all it was well worth the price and not having to do the driving to all the locales.
Tour guide fluent in 5 languages!! Bus was clean, comfortable.
We made almost full use of the city pass, visiting in Amsterdam, the Rijksmuseum (front of the line was fabulous), Van Gogh's Museum ( front of the line), the Canal Tour, and the Reypanaer Cheese Tasting; also the Speelklok Museum in Utrecht.
The only unknown was how to use our free transit pass. It doesn't work using the buses.
May vendors, Like the Tea house in the Vondelpark, did not know about their promotions. We picked up our silver wooden shoe charm at the Coster Diamonds too.
The Pancake Boat Amsterdam was not reachable by phone.
Definitely worth getting!
