Mount Titlis Day Tour from Zurich
Tour / Activity
Location: Zurich, Switzerland
My Review: Mt. Titlis in itself is alright, but the stopover in Lucerne and the fun once one is on top of the mountain is what makes this trip worthwhile. Lucerne, in parts, is quaint and beautiful. I wish we'd stopped for longer, though. Atop Titlis is where the adventure begins. There is the Ice Flyer for starters, as you fly over the glaciers, and for thrill-seekers there is a slide at an amazing speed down a glacier. You have to hold on to the straps, lest you topple over. In all, the package is pretty nice if you've got just a few days in Switzerland. Chilling in the summers couldn't have been better.

Jungfraujoch - Top of Europe (from Zurich)
Tour / Activity
Location: Zurich, Switzerland
My Review: Awesome is an understatement. The journey to the top was the real treat. This was paradise on earth, if I may say so, with the snow merging with the rich green grass to create picture-perfect images. To top it, our guide was a bundle of energy and made the chugging to the pinnacle worth every minute. Every single turn on the way is straight out of a picture book; if we've gone up to Switzerland with certain images, Jungfraujoch is possibly it. Utterly delightful!

Switzerland Countryside and Traditions Tour from Zurich
Tour / Activity
Location: Zurich, Switzerland
My Review: Enjoyed the drive to the little town. This tour also took a detour to Mt. Santis, which was a pleasant surprise. It started snowing there almost on cue when we landed, and even though it was freezing, it sure was lovely. Appenzellerland is cute and has some delightful little sights. The drizzle only added to it. The chocolate factory for those with a sweet tooth is a treat, with free samples and good prices at the store. It's definitely worth picking up a handful for people back home. I wish I'd picked the time of the year when the local processions happen; that would've been at its cultural best. The guide was a history buff and patiently shared the stories throughout the journey.
