Las Vegas, Nevada
More like a 70's Hen Night than a sensual adventure!
Las Vegas, Nevada
The early start, and the excellent communication from the tour operator, the superb pickup and start of the trip was very well organised, then it came apart.
The condition of the bus, which was quite old, and had external trimming coming off of it, and windows you couldn't see through on the right and left-hand side, and the door did not close and seal properly either, there was an intermittent speaker in the first row kerb side.
The Driver, Suzie, had no knowledge, local or tour specific and did not enunciate well, and when questioned about other routes told us that her normal job was as an airport shuttle bus driver, which certainly explained her lack of experience on the long trip.
She also thought that on a steep declining bend, on the way to the Hoovery Dam, felt it was ok to use a phone, putting on a headset and taking her hands off of the wheel while driving.
Using the phone became a continuous theme of the outbound and inbound trip, dialling out and answering (NOT HANDSFREE) as was operating an Ipod and swatting a fly, also while driving.
Speeding was another issue, doing 65 in a 45 zone, and OVER 80 in a 65.
On our return journey from the Grand Canyon she also thought it was ok to undertake cars, taxi's, and Heavy Goods Vehicles, and then complained when other road users did the same...
She failed to return us, and several others to our collection point, and we felt abandoned in the middle of the street, with a 6-lan highway to cross, at the end of a very long and tiring day we walked back to Bally's.
She also, at the Grand Canyon, took on board 2 strangers for 300 dollars, to get them back to the Strip in time for a show.
Our outward journey average speed was around 45/50, while our inbound journey averaged 70.
We know all this as we in the front right-hand row of seats, scared stiff.
