New York City, New York
It didn't get us into sites any quicker. It probably saved us money. You have to be careful in a city like New York where there is so much to see apart from the obvious tourist attractions that you are not over committing yourselves with the pressure of a pass. You would end up busting yourself to use the pass in the short time you may have and then not have enough time to just walk the streets and absorb the place.
The canal tour was really interesting and we cruised through numerous locks, a long ancient tunnel, the canals and then into the Seine. The weather was rainy and it was a shame that we couldn't sit outside but we made the best of it. The guide was full of personality but it was difficult to understand English spoken with a strong French accent so we didn't learn much. Good fun though and recommend it.
Confusion at beginning of tour at meeting place due to large numbers of people going on different tours - no attempt to make any tourists feel welcome. Tour guide was only efficient, no humour, did not engage with us, was just doing her job. Will not go on a bus tour again.
