The morning was lots of fun with a visit to a cheese factory in a lovely seaside town ,then a boat trip to a clog maker and finally a tour of some windmills . The tour guide was cheerful and interesting to listen to. The afternoon was much less fun and it got off to a poor start as the guide arrived fifteen minutes late and made no apology. The driver drove faster than I like to be driven ,possibly to make up the lost time. It seemed to be rather a dull trip in the afternoon .
This trip was interesting and good fun. It was fantastic to see how diamonds are cut and to learn a little about the different qualities of diamonds. The Anne Frank museum was a real eye opening experience, which brought to life the challenges faced by people during the war. It was not grim in any way , but a factual description of how some persecuted people experienced those times.
