My Review

I would have given this tour five stars except that there were too many people booked for our time of 4:00. While there were two tour guides on hand to accommodate all of the people, we felt that 27 people in our group were difficult to manage and made the tour feel less intimate. Narration was interesting and we had plenty of time to explore inside the church, as well as take the elevator up several stories and walk down the extremely steep and extraordinarily narrow steps (for a nominal charge). If I were to do it over again, I would probably book this tour with a company that guaranteed a group of no more than 16 people!

My Review

It was a smooth experience and we were dropped off just a few steps from our B and B next to a canal. Being a semi-private (one other couple on the water taxi) transport, it was rather expensive, but the taxi driver loaded and unloaded our bags for us, so that was very helpful.

Naples Shore Excursion: Private Tour to Sorrento, Positano, and Amalfi

My Review

I would have rated this tour "Five Stars" were it not for the driver who spoke NO English. Prior reviewers indicated that they had drivers who could communicate reasonably well, even though they were drivers, not paid tour guides. We were a party of 6, and we were definitelyvhoping for better communication, as we missed out on a lot of explanations of what we saw on the excursion. The drive, itself, was breathtaking and we were able to stop along the way for photos. We had time for shopping in each of the three charming, picturesque towns, but were a bit rushed at times. Deleting visit to Ravello (nice views, but nothing else to do during the 30-45 minute stop) would provide more time in Sorrento, Positano, or Amalfi. The family owned and operated restaurant we stopped at for lunch overlooking Positano and the bay was charming and the food was excellent. The driver and passengers from another Viator tour with a similar itinerary met our group for lunch and that driver spoke perfect English, so we really did feel cheated.
