This was a great tour. The La Sagrada Familia was awesome. We met Gloria at the tour office and left on time. We were with another couple (so were just four of us- small group :) ). She took us to the La Sagrada and went inside right away (skipping the long line) We were left on our own for most of the time. She gave us a a quick history of the church and then we were on our own. Julia was our tour guide to Montserrat. She was excellent. The drive to Monserrat was about 45 minutes. This place was fantastic. We had a great time with this tour.. Wish we had enough time to shop though. Other than that 4 stars:)
Great way to see the city. The tour bus was departing approximately every 20 minutes.
Marseille is a beautiful city. The tour bus was great. The only problem was that there was only one tour bus for that day. We wanted to get off to some of the stops but was afraid to cuz we had to wait probably 2 hours to get on the bus again. The bus driver that day took a picture via his iphone to send it to his boss to let him know that there were so many tourists waiting to get on the bus. :( But we manage to get off one stop only.
Maria (our tour guide) met us exactly at 10 AM at the port. After that, it was downhill from that point. On our way to Pompeii, we made 2 more stops to pick up other tourists. We knew Naples city has a lot of traffic and making 2 more stops did not help. By the time we got to Pompeii, I think it was around 12 pm. Not only that there were two or three other tour groups of people that went with us (Pompeii tour group only, Pompeii and Mt. Vesuvius group, Pompeii and Sorrento group-our intenarary, and another one I couldn't recall because my husband and I were already upset by this time). Maria was so afraid of losing the people on the tour that she made 5 or 6 times calling all the people on the tour (which wasted more time- they could had just put a color coded bracelet which tour group was which). Anyway, we went through Pompeii like a drive-thru. We spent like 1hr and 30min. We ate. Food was good (we enjoyed this part but I rather eat in the bus on the way to Sorrento ) After lunch, we had to split our (remmember, we had 3 other different tour group with us) group from the others cuz we are going to Sorrento. This was another time wasted because Maria called everyone's name to make sure that we went to the right tour. We started with a big bus and had 3 minivans to take us to our final destination. Of course, by the time we got to beautiful Sorrento, it felt like a drive thru. And of course, no time to shop.
