Slightly letdown - yes, we had a reasonable tour guide but she had the air of been-there-done-that which took the excitement out of it a little bit. She was very knowledgeable, but it sounded a little bit like she was regurgitating facts that she had memorized. The tour also felt a bit rushed and the audio sets kept malfunctioning, which made it a bit annoying at times.
Had an excellent experience with our tour guide, who was a native Roman and an archeologist, an you could see how passionate she was about the whole thing! She was very knowledgeable and funny and really made the tour the gem that it was.
There's a lot of walking involved, so wear comfortable shoes and bring a water bottle!
The pick up point was a bit confusing, the bus was late so I wasn't able to sit with my partner, and there really wasn't that much time to see Granada.
However our guide at Alhambra totally made up for it - he was so knowledgeable and was such a historian that it was an actual joy to go through Alhambra with him. It didn't feel rushed, we had ample time to take photos and it was a really lovely tour throughout despite only getting there around 2.
Downside: My friend dropped her ticket and we didn't realise it until we reached the turnstile - she had to be left behind and didn't get to see the palace at all. It would have been nice if they had been able to plan a contingency for something like that, considering she was part of a tour group - it was unlikely that she wouldn't have come without a ticket.
