New York City, New York
The tour started early (7:30am) at the Empire Sate building and was worth it to have a short wait. We were given an hour to get to the viewing floor and back down which was plenty for our group. Following this we boarded a bus to the Intrepid Museum. Here we were able to skip the line and enter. The guide suggested we start touring with the submarine as lines quickly build up for that. Great suggestion! We were left to tour on our own for a little over an hour before we boarded a water taxi that took us to battery park. From here our guide took us through the financial district, pointing out several interesting sites, until we reached the 911 memorial site. After that we were on our own to tour the 911 memorial and use the water taxi for the remainder of the day. The water taxi goes by Lady Liberty but does not stop. The view from the boat is very nice and the captain turns the boat so all aboard get a view. As this tour hit the sites we wished to see, it worked well for us.
