Giverny and Monet's Garden Small Group Day Trip from Paris

Paris, France

My Rating
5 star rating: Highly Recommended

My Review

Our driver was Fangio (a 1950's formula 1 driver). We had the miraculous experience of crossing 6 lanes of traffic and back out again with out slowing down at the Arc de Triumph a great start to our day. Then we got out into the Normandy country side and was instantly charmed by the villages and farm houses. Then there we were at Monet's garden, again there were crowds and a bit of jostling and tour guides telling there group to get aggressive or they will be their all day and wont see very much! Good advise so dont give way to other tour groups or you will get run over and literally pushed out of the way. This is good advise for all Paris tours as the same principle applies at every venue,....push through or get pushed out!.... But Monet's Garden soon lulled me into a strange serenity even though there was so many other people their. I have almost 400 photos and several books from the gift shop. How do you get a few hours of private time at Monet's Garden?

Paris City Segway Tour

My Review

This is the best thing I have ever done in an upright position! There were 6 of us in our group and we all agreed we will do it again (my wife even wants to buy a Segway). The amount of ground we covered in three hours was more than we covered in 3 days of walking around Paris, probably 15km or more. Our guide Jonny was brilliant ( I hope i tipped him enough). His comments were short and to the point with a hint of humour. I cant rave enough about how good this experience was. This was my number one thing to do in Paris!

Skip the Line: Louvre Museum Walking Tour including Venus de Milo and Mona Lisa

great tour recommend to every one to take tour that skips the lines. The lines are a mile long and can take a very long time to get in to the venue. The museum is so big and has so many people it can get oppressive and hot in the crowds. But we got up close to all the major attractions with great comentry from our guide.. But my feet certainly ached by the end of the tour so make sure you wear comfortable shoes and have clothes you can take off as it heats up in the crowds!
