Was an emotional trip. The bomb sites that were preserved was amazing that anyone could live through such awful terror. The German pill boxes were really death traps for the men manning them.
The memorial garden / graves was very beautiful. To see Jewish stars among the crosses was a tribute to freedom.
I would recommend this tour to anyone to see what was earned and sacrificed by these men.
Loved Monet cottage and gardens. The tulips and flowers were just in bloom and made a great sight. The cottage itself was lovely with the kitchen painted a delightful yellow. The preservation of the cottage was a highlight. The little village was very quaint with fantastic coffee.
The visit to Versailles was not a good due to some disorganisation of groups and massive crowds .. Would not recommend this part of the tour but overall a good day.
