This was a great tour despite the fact that we didn't catch any fish that day. The views during the snowmobile ride were amazing and made the trip worth it by itself. It was interesting to learn ice fishing, and at one point we stopped to warm up by a fire and eat some sausages and drink the warm berry juice that is common in Lapland. It was too bad we had no fish to augment our meal, but that was our own fault...the fish outsmarted us that day. A few things for people considering this: 1) Don't feel intimidated by the travel means. The guides give good instructions on snowmobiling and its quite simple. If you still aren't comfortable, you can opt to ride as a passenger on the snowmobile instead of drive. I'd never done it before and it was easy and fun. 2) I brought a bunch of warm clothing for this trip...not necessary. The tour company provides thermal wear from head to toe, but know that the hand wear is mittens, so bring your own gloves if you want a back up set of handwear with fingers.

Very fun. The dogs are friendly (and fast). The tour company provides all the thermal wear you need, so you don't really have to bring anything, although the handwear they provide are mittens, not gloves. You don't really need to use your fingers for dogsledding, but if you prefer gloves then bring your own set.

Interesting tour. A few things to be aware of: 1) There will be several locals there providing services and it is appropriate to tip them for it. About 5000 pesos per person is what my hired driver suggested per person (about $2.50 US), but all I had was large bills of 50.000 because I wasn't expecting this. Word to the wise, bring appropriate bills to be able to tip 4-5 different people. 2) Bring a towel. None there. 3) When you rinse off in the lagoon, people will be there to rinse out your bathing suit while you rinse your body. You will be obscured by the water, but know that you'll be butt naked for a bit. The alternative is to keep your bathing suit on, but you won't be able to get all the mud out. 4) There is a pay toilet there. I believe its 1000 pesos but maybe good to have that change handy.

Awesome tour. It was more touristy than adventure-like because the guides operate the rafts instead of the participants, but the caves were definitely worth seeing. While you go into the caves via small raft, you move to the different islands on a large, comfortable boat, and I almost enjoyed this as much as the canoeing because the surrounding scenery was awesome. Great opportunity for photos.
