Well-organized and lots of fun. Our guide, Pete, from Liverpool, was friendly, knowledgeable and had a great sense of humor. The train ride from Paris Gare St. Lazare to Vernon took about 45 minutes. We got to experience a little bit of Normandy, stopping in Vernon to buy lunch for our picnic, then riding bikes from Vernon to Giverny. Even though it rained on and off, the trip was hugely successful. Monet's home and gardens are a must see for every visitor to Paris and a great way to spend a day in another region of France. The grey skies helped make the beautiful colors of the flowers and foliage stand out even more than if the skies had been sunny. Mid week in May is a good time to go, avoiding the hordes of summer visitors.
