Montserrat and Cava Trail Private Day Trip from Barcelona

Barcelona, Spain

My Rating
5 star rating: Highly Recommended

My Review

Our guide was wonderful, and very informative. He was so friendly, and spoke excellent English. We had a great time, and wished we could have had more time at Montserrat. There wasn't enough time to do everything that was available. We toured the cathedral, and saw the famous boys choir, and took a very quick walk through their museum. We didn't get to take the tram up to the top or walk on the trail, which we were sorry to miss.

The tour of Cordinu winery and their underground caves where bottles are stored was very informative. We were able to taste 2 of their caves at the end of the tour. The grounds are beautiful, and buildings are very pretty.

Tapas Evening Walking Tour of Barcelona

Barcelona, Spain

My Rating
2 star rating: It was OK, but could have been better

My Review

The guidei was very nice and friendly, but was not an expert, it was obvious. It was not as informative as I thought it might be. As we walked through the city, our guide could not answer many of the questions her group was asking about the buildings or about the origins of food. That was disappointing.

The tapas were okay, not as good as what we had been able to find on our own the previous days. The best place of the three was the last one, a place for pinchots. The funny thing, was the sangria we got at this place came in smaller glasses than the rest of the patrons were getting. We noticed this as we looked around. We also went to this same place on a different night and got bigger glasses of sangria.

Gaudí’s La Pedrera at Night: A Behind-Closed-Doors Tour in Barcelona

Barcelona, Spain

My Rating
5 star rating: Highly Recommended

My Review

Very nice and intimate tour of the building at night. A beautiful view of the city at night. It was so interesting to hear about how the building came to be, and the reactions of the family who commissioned this from Gaudi. The cava and dessert at the end of the tour was a very pleasant ending. The second video was a little odd, she introduced by saying it was about Gaudi and his artistic ideas for architecture...but it was merely a montage of nature photos and such...so kind of a letdown.
