I took this tour with my husband and 22 year old daughter and we all enjoyed it. Our tour guide, Rebecca, was warm, friendly, knowledgeable, and enthusiastic.
My family and I did not enjoy this tour, partly because of the heat and the crowd, but also because the guide conducted the tour as if it were an art lecture - much too much details on individual paintings instead of a broad overview.
This ride was the biggest disappointment of our entire trip. We had a 7:30 appointment and got there at a few minutes before 7. We were told very aggressively to come back at 7:30, when we did we were then told to join a long line. They then slotted people into gondolas for maximum fit. My husband is 5'10" and was banging knees with another man about his height. The gondola operators were laughing and talking with each other or on their phones. We were in the last boat and our total ride lasted less than 15 minutes and we could not hear the serenade most of the time and we certainly couldn't see him. Overall it was very impersonal, the operators were bordering on rude, and this was a total waste of money.
