3-Day Cork, Blarney Castle, Ring of Kerry and Cliffs of Moher Rail Trip

Dublin, Ireland

My Rating
5 star rating: Highly Recommended

My Review

WOW! This trip was amazing. If you are on a tight schedule and need to see the highlights, I highly recommend this tour. Our tour guide was Norman and he was very pleasant to have on our trip. He was very informative when he needed to be but he also gave us the chance to just sit in silence and enjoy the sights. He stayed with us the entire 3 days and took care of every need. For instance, when there was a delay in one of the trains, he volunteered to watch all of our heavy luggage while we went out to a nearby pub for dinner. All in all, the sights along the trip are gorgeous. We had breathtaking views around the Ring of Kerry and Cliffs of Moher and the weather was surprisingly good when we needed it to be. We went in May and it rained on and off throughout the day so I definitely recommend a rain jacket if you go when we did. We're very happy we decided to leave Dublin for a few days and get a taste of REAL IRELAND.

Pompeii Day Trip from Rome

Rome, Italy

My Rating
5 star rating: Highly Recommended

My Review

This was an awesome day trip from Rome! Our tour guides were super friendly and talked to us the whole way down and back up from Vesuvius. They were very knowledgable about many subjects of Italy - talking about ancient Roman history, the formation of Italy, the formation of the Vatican, and even the geological history of Vesuvius. The local tour guide at Pompeii was great as well - very funny man and super knowledgable about Pompeii. Just a note for those planning to take the trip: there is about a 15-20 minute hike up to Vesuvius from where the bus drops you off. It's quite an incline but the rewarding view at the end makes it all worth it! We definitely recommend this tour!

Skip the Line: Versailles Palace and Gardens Walking Tour

Paris, France

My Rating
5 star rating: Highly Recommended

My Review

The Versailles Palace and Gardens walking tour was a fantastic tour. The trip to Versailles could be confusing to those who have not taken the Paris metro and do not know their way around. To help, the tour actually starts in Paris and the tour guides take you to Versailles on the metro. This is important: You do NOT need to buy any metro tickets in preparation for your tour to Versailles. The tour will provide them for you. We made the mistake of purchasing them ahead of time and ended up spending more money than we needed to. Once at Versailles, you will get another tour guide who will guide you through the palace and gardens. She was fantastic and gave us all of the time we needed to walk around the grounds. Our tour was very small - only 5 people so it was very personable and customized to our liking. I highly recommend this tour.

Skip the Line: Eiffel Tower Tickets and Small-Group Tour

Paris, France

My Rating
4 star rating: Recommended

My Review

Booking the Eiffel Tower tour is a great way to get to the top of the tower and learn a lot about what you are seeing around Paris. The tour guide takes you to each panoramic view and points out each important/historical structure that you can see from the top of the tower. Our tour guide was only mediocre- he didn't seem especially personable and in the small group that we had, that would have been nice. However, he was very knowledgable and knew any questions that we asked. If you are planning to go up to the top of the tower, this is the way to go. Don't waste your travel time waiting in long lines buying tickets.

Paris Walking Tour - The French Revolution

Paris, France

My Rating
5 star rating: Highly Recommended

My Review

My wife and I have taken about 6 tours during our trip to Europe and I have to say that this was one of the best! I recommend taking this tour as soon as you arrive in Paris (like we did). You learn a lot about the city in a short amount of time and you really hit a lot of the sites in short 2-hour period. We couldn't believe how much we saw and learned in such a short amount of time. On the surface, this tour sounds like a boring history lesson. However, it was far from it! The tour guide was super personable, very friendly, and gave us a lot of "insider tips" about where we should eat, places to get good wine for a cheap price, and what we should do during our stay. He even stayed after the tour to give each couple time to ask him questions. This was my first tour of our 3-week Europe trip and I still remember the most about what I saw and learned on this tour. For the price that you pay - this is a GREAT value!
