Highland Lochs, Glens and Whisky Small-Group Day Trip from Edinburgh
Tour / Activity
Location: Edinburgh, United Kingdom
My Review: We took this tour on a somewhat rainy September day and it was fabulous. Our guide, Dave, has an encyclopedic knowledge of all things Scottish. He shared many stories during our drives to each stop which made the day whiz by! First stop, Dunkeld, included time for tea and scones or just exploring the quaint village; next stop at Hermitage Park and hike to the waterfall was a great diversion. Dave was able to answer every question my tree-loving husband had about the forest; the distillery stop was fun and educational, quickly followed by a lunch stop in Pitlochry - we dined at the Old Mill Inn - good burgers. Next stops included fabulous overlook of Loch Tummel and Glencoe Mtns and a stop in a village with time for more tea and scones! This trip was the highlight of our 9-day Scottish vacation. Our 21-year old son was with us and he loved it! We highly recommend!

Sweden Day Trip from Copenhagen
Tour / Activity
Location: Copenhagen, Denmark
My Review: This day-trip was the highlight of our visit to Copenhagen. The pickup point is centrally located - we walked from our hotel at Tivoli. The bus was comfortable and we had no problem with the headphones for the tour info. Enjoyed wonderful views and interesting narrative travelling north up the coast of Denmark then we disenbarked onto a large Ferry with much-needed restrooms for the 20-min crossing to Sweden followed by another scenic drive down the coast to Lund. There we had ample time to have lunch, shop and sight-see. Another 30 minute drive and we were in Malmo. With 1-12 hours to wander about we had almost too much time in that quaint city, although on a warmer day it would be nice to sit in one of the many outdoor cafes. The trip back across the sound was scenic and we arrived, as promised, just before 6 p.m. Some people complain on this site about the pre-recorded narrative but for us it was great with lots of historical information. The driver was very friendly and added a side trip to the twisted tower for photos. Overall, we highly recommend this tour.
