Great tour with knowledgeable guide. Quite a history lesson! Our guide had also done one of our Dublin bus tours and he was the best one we had for that too. There is a bit of standing around waiting but that is to be expected. Newgrange is not to be missed, and there were lovely sights on the coastal route back to town that we would not have seen had we driven on our own. I agree with others that pick up instructions could have been clearer, fortunately our hotel staff new exactly where we were going.
Great experience on a very rainy day. We got to see the original pistons that still run one elevator to the second floor and to ride up in the elevator. Our guide was knowledgeable and friendly. We had children in our group so the stories were a bit "fanciful" (Napoleon probably did not say "Hey guys"), but the details were accurate. We got a great history lesson about the tower and the sights we could see from each side of the second floor. The rest of the tour is on your own. You do need to get in line to go up to the top floor as we did.
