To be honest we did not think much of this tour! Firstly the ticket pickup from the travel agent was disorganized and impersonal. A big group of people waiting outside and having to ring a bell to get in the door, started late, split into 2 groups, English/Spanish, but approx 30 in English group and 5 in Spanish!
The tour guide was boring..... Can't remember his name...but he was in love with Gaudi and went on and on and on in a monotone voice! Spoke too much about the religious components and was simply boring. He lost a few people along the way who just left the group. Even when we finally got to see the church and finally once inside that amazing building, the emotional/spiritual side was overshadowed by his boring voice. he obviously lived and breathed the church and Gaudi, but ......tour could've been amazing had we had a different guide.
Fantastic tour! We were greeted with enthusiasm from the start. All the guides were organized and swiftly and professionally sorted us into groups! Our guide Fernando was excellent. He was very patient and enthusiastic and shared some great stories with us all. He spoke well to the group and kept us all focused and interested. A great day!!
Some points/ suggestions..
Ps. In our group we had a lady with a walking frame. As the tour progressed she found it difficult to keep up and the group was often waiting/ looking for her. Fernando was very patient, as we all were. Eventually she had to sit, stop and wait. Good on her for persisting and doing the tour, however I really think she should've been on a disabled course/ tour.
Also, we didn't really like the wine, tapas, shopping trap. It was hot and we felt a complimentary small bottle of water each would've been a good addition on the tour.
