Very hot day. Too much church information and not enough about secular life. Only 10 minutes to view Duke's Palace in Guimaraes and queue was longer than this so impossible to enter.
Time pressures the whole time except for lunch which was very pleasant and better than expected.
Drive to and fro was on motorways so didn't see much of countryside.
Others on trip made it interesting.
Excellent guide who was from Evora and who quickly picked up on our interests. Excellent visit to the Cromlech which was of real interest to me being a Celt myself. Lots of real facts about cork growing and harvesting. In Evora, we were amazed at the number of Roman remains we were shown which were not even indicated to tourists. The Chapel of Bones was really interesting.
The journey to and from Lisbon was really interesting.
An excellent guide who brought everything to life.
