My Rating
3 star rating: Worth doing

My Review

Great day out in country. Very knowledgable driver and staff at vineyards. The wine was a bit light for me, as am used to more full bodied wines from Australia. Learnt a lot about wine making in California. Gordon the driver was very safe. Well done

My Review

What a remarkable place and so close to San Francisco. Aaron, our driver was very knowledgeable and great fun. Very safe Gray Line. The rangers gave an interesting talk, the woods were soft, quiet and glorious. Worth every penny. Then Sausilito. Money, money, money, but the fish and chips and hamburger place was good value. Thanks Aaron.

Philadelphia and Amish Country Day Trip from New York

New York City, New York

My Rating
5 star rating: Highly Recommended

My Review

Great guide, great tour. Driver was courteous, Stephano was a very knowledgable and interesting tour guide. We had enough time at each stop to enjoy all of the things on offer. Philadelphia, food and bathroom stops, Liberty Bell, USA first congress and Senate building and museum, Rocky statue, City Hall and the famous steps. Then the Amish community and Markets were wonderful. Great value for money and exactly as described on Viator website. Gray Line is a reliable, professional and well organised company.

New York City Hop-on Hop-off Tour

New York City, New York

My Rating
5 star rating: Highly Recommended

My Review

The buses were reliable, the staff helpful, the routes clearly defined. The only negative was the Bronx tour. All we did was sit at Yankee Stadium for 30minutes watching fans cross the road and walk up stairs. We had already done the Harlem section on the uptown loop, so that was repetitive straight on top of uptown, but you can't do the Bronx from anywhere else. Still best way to get around town. The three extra "tours" were great. Chose Intrepid air and space museum, the Art museum and madam Tussards

Washington DC Hop-On Hop-Off Tour

Washington D.C., District of Columbia

My Rating
5 star rating: Highly Recommended

My Review

All the routes covered everything in Washington you may wish to see. Went to the zoo and saw the pandas, Arlington and all that entails, Pentagon, Georgetown, all the museums and the Washington Mall. The narrators were knowledgable and the drivers very safe. Worth every penny and was great value, as well as the best way to get around over 3 days. Stops were easy to recognise and buses ran on time which was essential for early morning and changeover routes. Had people on the ground also helping with information at a lot of stops. Just one minor complaint, the marching band music was far too loud on one bus early in the morning with recorded comments, even without earphones.

Ticket to Grand Ole Opry Radio Show with Transport

Nashville, Tennessee

My Rating
5 star rating: Highly Recommended

My Review

One of my dreams come true. The bus driver, Tex, was the driest, funniest people I met on this holiday. He was courteous, drove very carefully and gave clear instructions where the bus would be after the show. The Grand Ole Opry was everything I hoped it would be, albeit, I did not recognise one person performing on the night. However, the seating was great, the crew was very efficient, the hostesses seated everyone within a good time frame. We did have a legend from the Hall of Fame sing Tennessee Waltz and the voice was as strong as a young woman's, even if the body was getting old and frail. This was a great value show but you do have to book 2-3 months ahead. Worth it though.

Elvis Presley's Graceland Tour

Memphis, Tennessee

My Rating
5 star rating: Highly Recommended

My Review

Another dream come true. Visited the King at his home Graceland. Everything in this area of Memphis was well laid out and well thought for the thousands of visitors who must come here each year. The tour was self guided, but heaps ot time to see and absorb it all. Just as he left it, all his awards, his movie costumes, his show outfits and his records on display. One could not help being moved, when seeing home movies, and hearing Lisa Maree tell about her father in different rooms. The gift shops were mostly tasteful and if you wanted a souvenier there were heaps of types to choose from. Parking was plentiful, the bus taking you back and forth was quaint but a great way to control numbers at any given time. Courteous staff everywhere. I have photos I will treasure forever. So glad I booked this tour, Thank you.

Historic Tennessee - Southern Plantations and Presidents

Nashville, Tennessee

My Rating
5 star rating: Highly Recommended

My Review

What encyclopedias the tour guides are at these places. Thoroughly enjoyed both plantations and their separate stories. Our guide at Belmeade was a military historian and his love and knowledge of the place made history come alive. One of the few tours I did where USA was not rammed down my throat along with the facts. Very enjoyable, could appreciate the architecture as well as the displays of museum quality contents of the homes. Southern hospitality all the way on this tour. Good value to learn history in this way.

The General Jackson was great. Great meal, good entertainment, wonderful views. Drinks a little expensive. Be careful where you sit. Our table under an air con vent and we froze during dinner. The driver on our bus to take us to and from the boat was very efficient, funny and safe. Great value for money

This was great. Good value. Don't miss the Wildhorse Saloon. You don't know until you're there what $15.00 buys, but it comes off your bill. Good food and drinks, nice efficient staff. The Country Music Hall of Fame was a real eye opener, Studio B tour was most amusing and informative. This was possibly the best pass of a months worth of tours and shows.

Deluxe Grand Canyon South Rim Airplane Tour

Las Vegas, Nevada

My Rating
4 star rating: Recommended

My Review

Maverick are very professional and everything was exactly as advertised. Unfortunately it rained and was foggy at Bright Angels, but at Mathers point it was brilliant and sunny. The only thing that was not 100% was the lunch provided. Turkey on white bagel with soggy lettuce and tomato not my choice of healthy food. A light lunch salad would have been more appropriate. Staff could not have been any more courteous nor friendly, from pick up driver to depot staff, pilots, bus drivers and check in. It was a really great day and value for money. Prompt and left us wanting more.

Los Angeles Hop-on Hop-off Double Decker Bus Tour

Los Angeles, California

My Rating
5 star rating: Highly Recommended

My Review

Best way to get around the city as it is so spread out. They need to explain on their paperwork that you do not have to go all the way to Hollywood to collect tickets. I wasted a half day doing this. Also some stops have been changed and it still shows old ones on the maps. Very annoying trying to find them, missed four buses. However, all that said it is very easy to use, guides know their stuff, you cover a lot of ground and just enjoy the experience.

Skip the Line: Front of Line Pass at Universal Studios Hollywood

Los Angeles, California

My Rating
4 star rating: Recommended

My Review

This is no longer the best option if you want to go on one ride several times. NEW RULE and not worth the extra big bucks you pay for the priveledge. You can only have ONE front of line experience on each ride, tour or show. When it's not busy, the lines were not long, so the extra paid was of no advantage. They now say you need the VIP pass to get all and sundry and pay more than $100 on top of general entry. Next time I will just get el cheapo and take my chances with the crowds.

Directions a little confusing as to which way to go to get the shuttle. Don't just go to Orange sign shared vans. Go LEFT to the Super Shuttle sign. No problems at all. Only 8 people. Fast delivery. Efficient and courteous.
