The guide did her best under difficult circumstances, it was very hot and crowded so the tour was a bit rushed. The meeting point was good, the audio equipment worked fine, and we got into the gallery fairly quickly. More in depth information was needed especially about the Botticelli paintings, explaining about who the characters were and what they represented. Average value for money.
We were very disappointed with this tour, the meeting point was very vauge, no signs or anything telling us where to meet exactly, eventully found the guide who was will another group that had come up from Florence, so we joined them. The guide gave a short talk about the Baptistery then about the Cathedral, she then moved onto Piazza dei Cavalieri (as we had visited earlier that day, we did not bother going again) We were handed our tickets to go up the tower at 4.30, We think it is very poor value, when you can easily do it yourself without a guide, and still don't need to queue that long! We think that we paid a lot of money for something we could have easily done ourselves, you pay a guide to give you in depth knowledge, not a five minute cursory outline.
