My Recommendation Tip
Our recent stay in magical Monterosso was the perfect location to base ourselves as we explored the beautiful towns that make up the Cinque Terre. Our holiday was made all the more memorable by the fabulous Hotel Pasquale. This small hotel located in the older part of Monterosso certainly met all our expectations. The hotel's location which is directly across from the beach and within a five minute walk to the train station, and views from the room cannot be surpassed. Emanuela and her family made us feel very welcome and were extremely helpful with any request. The included breakfast was plentiful featuring the usual continental choices as well as eggs cooked to your liking. The staff were more than happy to provide us with a take away breakfast on the morning of our departure as we were catching an early train. The rooms, although small, are well equipped, comfortable, clean and the view to die for. If we are ever back in this wonderful part of the world we will certainly be staying at Hotel Pasquale again.
Booking a guided tour of the Vatican Museum was a great idea. Not only did we not have to endure the long queue to get into the museum, we had the pleasure of having the delightful Eleanora as our tour guide. How refreshing it was to have such an enthusiastic guide help us navigate the vast collection that is housed at the Vatican. Eleanora was not only passionate about the treasures we saw but extremely knowledgable. My children were enthralled as Eleanora made them feel very much included and engaged. My only suggestion to Viator would be to include the museum admission as part of their tour price.
