Barcelona Super Saver: Sightseeing Tour with Montjuic Cable Car and Montserrat Tour

Barcelona, Spain

My Rating
5 star rating: Highly Recommended

My Review

An efficient way to see the Gothic quarter, Montjuic and Poble Espanyol, with what seemed to be the right amount of time in each! An included ride on the cable car at Montjuic was a nice included novelty, offering great views over Barcelona! Agnes was a great local guide, whom was both knowledgable and enthusiastic! The only issue with this part of the tour was that the pre-tour information did not advise that the Gothic Quarter walking tour would provide the opportunity to visit inside the Barcelona Cathedral, so those who wished to do so should ensure their clothing covered their knees and shoulders. Agnes was prepared however and lent her scarf to those in need!

The visit to Montserrat was worthwhile, as was paying for the cog-wheel train. Ana was a great local guide, whom was both knowledgable and enthusiastic! She also provided interesting and relevant commentary during the drive to and from Montserrat, which was great!

The only issue overall was that the address for the Meeting point was wrong, because the Julia Office had moved in February 2013. Fortunately, there were Julia Bus Drivers nearby to give directions.

Tarragona and Sitges Small Group Day Trip from Barcelona

Barcelona, Spain

My Rating
3 star rating: Worth doing

My Review

This was a nice day trip outside of Barcelona.
The highlight of the trip to Tarragona was the aqueduct that we visited on the way! As we had just visited Italy and had visited the aqueduct at Segovia on a previous trip to Spain, the roman ruins in Tarragona were perhaps not as impressive as they may otherwise have been.
In Sitges we had a great lunch at Jalapeños Mexican Cantina, which is located along the waterfront on the other side of the church, not the main restaurant strip that you see as you drive in. Beautiful nachos, chargrilled burgers, piña coladas and water views! After lunch we enjoyed a leisurely stroll through the streets of the old village!
The main issue for the group was that the air conditioning vents in the vehicle were located in the front only. This mean't the air conditioning had to be on full so that those seated in the middle and back rows of the vehicle were comfortable. This mean't the driver and couple seated in the front were too cold. Another minor issue was that there were 3 seats in the middle and back rows of the vehicle also, so one of the four couples could not sit next to each other at any one time.

Skip the Line: Barcelona Sagrada Familia Tour

Barcelona, Spain

My Rating
5 star rating: Highly Recommended

My Review

Great tour with a knowledgable local guide! Having skip the line tickets was also worthwhile! If Sagrada Familia is one of your must sees in Barcelona, then this tour is recommended! The tour is conducted both inside and outside Sagrada Familia, and at the end you can return inside if you wish to take another look at your own pace.

Gaudi's Park Guell Guided Walking Tour

Barcelona, Spain

My Rating
1 star rating: I do not recommend this

My Review

Not recommended. The information provided by the guide regarding Park Guell, its origins and features, during the tour is readily available on the Internet. Better to visit the park without a guide and save the cost of the tour!
