London Ghost Walking Tour

London, United Kingdom

My Rating
3 star rating: Worth doing

My Review

I expected a spooky and scary walking tour but it turned out to be more of a comedy. The tour guide was a nice young fellow who took us to different parts of the city and told us about strange occurrences but he made us laugh more than anything. He didn't even mention Jack the Ripper. The cruise on the river was nice and relaxing but if you are looking for a spooky tour, this is not it.

Cambridge and Oxford Historic Colleges of Britain Day Trip

My Review

This was a very interesting trip, with a great tour guide who told us all sorts of interesting information. We had just about the right amount of time to explore both Cambridge and Oxford on our own a bit, as well as to get some souvenir shopping done. I would recommend this trip.

England in One Day: Stonehenge, Bath, the Cotswolds and Stratford-upon-Avon Day Trip from London

My Review

This was an exhausting trip with a lot of time spent on the bus. Having said that, it was a great way to see Stonehenge, Bath and Stratford-Upon-Avon all in one day. Getting to Stonehenge first was smart, before all the tour buses rolled in. We spent about the right amount of time there. In Bath, which is lovely, we didn't have enough time to visit the Roman baths. We were on our own for lunch and exploring. Just Stonehenge and Bath on one trip would be better if you really want to explore Bath in more detail. Most people on the bus were asleep when we drove through the Cotswalds, so they were just a blurry-eyed snapshot for most of us. In Stratford we had adequate time to visit Shakespeare's birthplace (and the gift shop) and maybe about 5 minutes to see the town. I wish they had also taken us to his burial site at Trinity Church there. Nice tour guide, the bus was so-so. Make sure you have a lot of energy or you will be really tired at the end of the day.
