Washington D.C., District of Columbia
Great visit to the capitol and monuments. But needed to be warned about the amount of walking to buses parked farther away than a 74 year old with 2 artificial hips can do. Weather was hot, the bus fortunately cool. Had plenty of time at each site. Boat tour with lunch was the pits - it was entirely too crowded, bos lunch was OK, but the lack of ability to get out of the sun was the pits! You could skip the boat in hot weather, but even more importantly, limit boat sales so that everyone could be comfortable.
Note from Viator
Thank you for your feedback! We've heard back from the supplier concerning your review. We're copying their response in full below:
Thank you for coming on tour with us and taking a second to share your thoughts about your experience. I'm sorry to hear that your experience was anything less than excellent. Since your tour and because of your feedback, we have recently instituted some changes to the tour route to reduce the amount of walking. Since many of the sites can't be seen as well from a bus (like the Lincoln Memorial), there will still be some walking and we will do what we can to improve our advertising to advise everyone that there still will be some walking portions on tour. In regards to the boat tour, I'm very sorry that your experience here was not great. Though we have a special agreement with the boat for priority boarding and seating (with tables), I will ensure that they are upholding their committment and that our guests are comfortable for the entire boat ride (as well as having access to the shade). Thank you again for your note. It really does go a long way in helping us improve our tours.
