Joined the Paris Latin Quarter walking tour with Paul of Classic Walks. There were six of us on the tour. Paul is extremely well informed, cordial and warm. He took us around all the important Latin Quarter sights starting at the square in front of Patheon. Paul gave us a fairly good historical background of the area. On his suggestion we later visited La Chapelle. It is indeed worth seeing.
On the whole it was a nice walk. The weather was mild, an added advantage. I would have liked him to cover the part of St.Germain where Sartre, Hemingway and others used to hang out.
Went on the Montmartre walking tour. Steff, our tour guide was well informed and has a wonderful sense of humour. There were around ten of us. We met at street level outside Paris Metro stop Blanche. It went on a wide arc around Moulin Rouge, Montmartre cemetary, the windmill and ended in front of Sacre Cour basilica.
Steff made it very interesting with lots of anecdotes about various painters, artists and their private lives. Although it is not part of the tour, recommend a visit to Espace Dali, for those interested in Dali's works especially his sculptures.
On the whole, it was a rewarding experience.
