Island Tour of Aruba

Aruba

My Rating
4 star rating: Recommended

My Review

It was great. The tour guide was very knowledgable and friendly. The guide picked us up from our hotel and dropped us back off which was really convenient as we were staying at the Marriott Surf Club in the Palm Beach area. It was a comfortable and quick way to get through the island. It is a perfect way for those who can't be exposed to the sun for very long periods of time or the heat. The van provided air conditioning and shade. The tour takes you to the Aloe Manufacturing Museum, one of the high points of the Island where you are able to see the entire Island, and the California Lighthouse and around some of the mansions in the island. The tour ran for appox 3.5hrs. It is recommended to bring some snacks or sandwiches as the tour does not offer food and the tours are mainly in the morning time from from 9am - 12noon. Overall we had a great time and are happy we chose this tour.

Seaworld Explorer Semi-Submarine

Aruba

My Rating
4 star rating: Recommended

My Review

My boyfriend and I came to Aruba for the first time and wanted to explore the sea tour options. This tour was great for us as it was more on the affordable side and we got to see similar things that we believe we would have been able to see on a full submarine tour. The tour boat/submarine departed conveniently from the Palm Pier dock which was near the high rise hotels (walking distance) and since we were staying at the Marriott Surf Club it was just a 10min walk. The tour ran approx 2hrs and consisted of half the time on a boat ride above water and the other half on the semi-submarine ride which we got to see some of the deep water fishes, coral, and even a sunken ship! The tour guide was very friendly and funny and made the experience very entertaining for us. If you are looking for a nice leisurely water tour both above and below water this is the way to go!

Barcelona Card with Guidebook

Barcelona, Spain

My Rating
2 star rating: It was OK, but could have been better

My Review

Being our first time traveling to Barcelona the Barcelona card does come in handy if your main interest is to visit mostly museums of modern art, Catalan sculptures specifically Gaudi. We felt there could have been more attractions and museums included as free instead of just a reduction/discount in price for example the Picasso museum and the flamenco show. We also thought that the public transportation map in the back of the guide booklet was not user friendly as it combinds both the city bus and metro together so it was hard to navigate our way around using that map. We found a better map just by searching on Google online for just the metro trains alone. We recommend in the booklet guide to seperate those two to make it more convenient for the user as well as including a bus time schedule.

My Review

My boyfriend and I went on a first time trip to visit Barcelona and we really wanted a tour of the city that touched upon the major tourist attractions and culture history of Barcelona. We chose the full day of the tour and our guide Ana was far best one of the most knowledgable, passionate, and friendly guide we have encountered. We were very happy and satifisfied with Ana, she was very positive and animated through the entire trip. Ana made our first time trip to Barcelona very worth while as she was very friendly, and patient with her group of tourists. Our tour was divided up into traveling by bus/taxi and then by foot around certain areas of Barcelona which was a good mix. We stopped by areas such as: La Sagrada Familia, gothic area, la pedredra, parc guell (gaudi) etc..Ana shared some of her background with us and we were glad to have a guide that grew up in Barcelona as she had side stories to tell us about the city. If you want to have a fun and enjoyable experience around Barcelona, this tour with Ana is the way to go!
