Out of the various trips we booked with Viator for our two week vacation in Australia this was the least best one. Firstly the pick up was delayed by half hour, not the best at 7am with two childre . Then the driver dropped us at the train and we felt confused as to where we would go afterwards etc. not clear instructions at this point. The train was relaxing, informative museum at the station but a bit slow and boring a climb upwards-especially for the childre. Once we got to the top, again limited info given out, had only 45 minutes to walk around local village, find a drink and then find the pick up point which wasn't at all clear. When we eventually found the bus, we got on it and waited and waited....others hadn't found it either!! Eventually got to Rainforestation-once we arrived there it was very organised, almost squaddie marched through the sighs, sounds, activities and of course lunch. Feet didn't touch the ground, but very well run. Saw the koalas and kangaroos-excellent commentary there, loved the spear, boomerang and didgeridoo shows. Even the duck tour was good too. Worthwhile. Great lunch included. Very very good day out, children loved it too.
Cairns, Northern Beaches and Palm Cove, Australia
A well organised tour, except again had to wait long time for bus transfers to and from the trip. Don't think the local organisers are on the balk most of the time!! Bit lovely cruise out to barrier reef. Children got to try scuba diving, but not exactly very clear that they had to pay extra for staying down-discovered this afterwards to our cost! But they loved it! Lunch was nice, basic but nice. Didn't get to do glass bottom boat as not enough time. Due to booking helicopter tour as well, we then found it was our return trip back bit left much earlier than we wanted as didn't get much time at second reef to snorkel, try the boat tour or even get the fresh fruit, wine and cheese and biscuits. Helicopter tour was nice, booked as a surprise wedding anniversary present, but only saw first 10 mins of the Great Barrier Reef as rest of course is on open seas returning back!! Good trip, need to improve the pick ups as we waited bit too long both ways!!
This whole trip from start to finish was fantastic. The driver who incidentally was the commentator too was very good. He told us pretty much everything we needed or want to know about the area, it's history etc. it all ran very smoothly from initial pick up from a local hotel we were staying near to, to the actual drop off. We especially liked the stopover for morning coffee/cakes at the village in the Blue Moutains and thoroughly enjoyed the latter Parton the day at the Featherdale Wildlife park, just wished we could have had longer to see the animals. The cruise back was okay, but tiring waiting for the next boat and by then it was cold-it being winter in Sydney. Overall, excellent trip, well worth the money, even the children enjoyed every part of it too.
Trip from start to finish was very good. Informative and enough time given in each stop off point. Glad we chose not to do the extra cruise lunch as we enjoyed time spent exploring Manly a little more-gorgeous place, even better than its famous counter part Bondi Beach. Stunning scenery in parts. Driver was the commentator which was great, had enough time on each stop, he even asked where we would like dropping off afterwards too. Felt really personalised the whole trip, got enough information about Sydney, surrounds and also view of the city too. Well worth it. Pick up and drop off poins very clear at all times. Thoroughly enjoyed the day out, even the children had no complaints.
