Skip the Line: Florence Accademia and Uffizi Gallery Tour

Florence, Italy

My Rating
3 star rating: Worth doing

My Review

Great history and art. Tour guide was very sweet but overall, the tours were boring. I believe the tour guide can really jazz up a tour that can be boring but our tour guide just got to the point. We found ourselves falling asleep.

Tuscan Cooking Class and Dinner in Florence

Florence, Italy

My Rating

My Review

We have taken several cooking classes in the past but this one just tops them all! Our chef instructor was Fabrizio. He was a very funny, charming man! We cooked a 4 course meal (eggplant caprese salad, chicken rollatini'esque dish, fresh pasta with a delicious capers sauce, and crema catalan (custard). The food was amazing and to top it off, we drank lots of wine with dinner. The couple we were paired up with were really fun and added to the experience!

Tuscany in One Day Sightseeing Tour

Florence, Italy

Amazing tour. You get to see the other beautiful cities and learn the history. In Sienna, we got gelato from "Dondoli", a world renown gelato shop that has won many awards over the years. We had lunch at a great vineyard in San Gimignano. They served us food that came from the farm. We also had the wine that they make on the farm. They were so good, I even bought some bottles back to bring back home! Went to Pisa and saw the Leaning tower of Pisa. That was about it. This is a long day trip, so be prepared to conk out when you get back on the bus ride back to Florence.

Skip the Line: Vatican Museums, Sistine Chapel and St Peter's Basilica Half-Day Walking Tour

Rome, Italy

My Rating
2 star rating: It was OK, but could have been better

My Review

The churches and museum were beautiful but so boring! Perhaps the tour guide could have made the tour more exciting but how exciting can the Vatican be? I would say the best reason to go on this tour is to say you have been to the Vatican, Sistine Chapel, and St Peter's Basilica.

Paris Walking Tour - The French Revolution

Such a fun tour! We had a great guide named Steph. She was a cheeky british woman. She was very theatrical and was very knowledgeable. She had a book that she showed historical pictures. Steph was very funny and knew every answer that everyone had about the French Revolution. We highly recommend this tour (especially with Steph).

Heart of Paris Bike Tour

Paris, France

My Rating
5 star rating: Highly Recommended

My Review

Amazing fun bike tour! We biked to central Paris and the bikes were easy to ride. We would stop a few times an hour and the tour guide would give us the history of where we stopped. We also had a bicycle guard (he would ride behind the last person in the tour to make sure they made it) and he would watch the bikes when we took lunch. The 3 hours flew by so fast and we were not the least bit tired, after all we did bike for a few hours. I highly recommend this bike tour to anyone that wants to see the hidden spots of Paris.

Paris City Tour, Seine River Cruise and Eiffel Tower

Paris, France

My Rating

My Review

This was an amazing tour! The bus took us through the Latin Quarters and a few other places before we got to the Eiffel Tower. Unfortunately, there was no tour for the Eiffel Tower. They gave us our tickets and we went up by ourselves. We were able to read the notes in the tower to find out the history. Afterwards, we hopped on the Seine River Cruise and it was absolutely beautiful. The river was so breezy and so nice to see the Parisians sitting on the banks, having picnics. We also learned the history of every bridge that we passed and the buildings that surround the river.

We had a great tour guide by the name of Isabel. Museums can be boring but Isabel made this tour very fun and interesting. The Louvre is huge and would take 1 year to see the entire museum. Isabel took us to all of the interesting and best pieces. Isabel has a great sense of humor and was able to tell us about the art but also make it funny and interesting.
