The first skipper we had was middle aged, bored and very aggressive with other boats. He also told 'jokes'. We were about half way through the tour when he announced that he was changing the tour he was taking, and downloaded us on to another boat, doing another tour. So only about half of Amsterdam. The good commentaries ,if a little brief, except for 'famous' venue, such as Ann Frank's House, were asy to hear, when the other passengers spoke more quietly.
The extended drive to Nymphemburg and the BMW factory were somewhat rushed. Being able to look at the Olympic tower was meaningless. I appreciate that a recorded commentary often gets out of synchronisation but tour commentators need to be able to cover more aspects than the one that was in my bus was able to do.
Disorganised; no offer of a route map, and poor explanation about stopping the bus, if there were no new passengers at the stop. Guide's English mediocre, and very strongly aimed at the German-speaking passengers. Tour itself was interesting, and well planned, if you knew anything about Hamburg.
