Newport, Rhode Island
This is the standard mansion tour we pre-booked to ensure the tours were not sold out on a beautiful fall weekend with cruise ships in town. The tour covers the Bellevue mansion area only. It allows a visit to one or two mansions depending on your preference. We toured the always fabulous Breakers and the veru unusual Marble House. Tickets are supplied for the return trip to the visitors center.
Quebec City, Canada
This tour featured stops both in the walled city of Quebec and outside the city walls. We sample food, honey, beer and wine. We actually went over the allotted time of the tour. This tour is worthwhile not only for the tasting but also for the chance to go off the beaten track to residential parts of the city.
This was a two-part morning and afternoon tour of the western and eastern parts of the old city of Montreal. The western part is the older, more historic part that does resemble an European city. Our guide was too in experienced to do a really good job but that did not detract of the sights. The eastern part was more of an architectural tour of the commercial buildings built to support the commercial interests developed on the river. This guide was quite excellent and showed a real interest in and knowledge of architecture.
Very nicely done tour with palace guide leading group. Well worth the money to escape crowds and see parts of the palace not open to the general public.
