Castles Tour from Copenhagen: North Zealand and Hamlet Castle

Copenhagen, Denmark

My Rating
4 star rating: Recommended

My Review

I enjoyed this tour very much. The countryside was beautiful and the castles were exquisite. However, it is very physically demanding and there is a lot of walking and stair climbing involved, so for those who are physically challenged, it is probably not the best choice.

Copenhagen City Hop-on Hop-off Tour

Copenhagen, Denmark

My Rating
5 star rating: Highly Recommended

My Review

A great way to see the beautiful and charming city of Copenhagen. Although it is only an hour and a half to go around the whole circle, plan for at least a half a day to get off and see everything.

Charlottenburg Palace: Dinner and Concert with River Spree Sightseeing Cruise

Berlin, Germany

My Rating
5 star rating: Highly Recommended

My Review

An absolutely enjoyable afternoon and evening. The river cruise is definitely a great way to get the feel of Berlin. The dinner was exquisite and the costumed staff was a delightful touch. The concert was a real treat, with Baroque music and opera from the period of the castle and the musicians in period costume made it even more realistic.

Sachsenhausen Concentration Camp Memorial Walking Tour

Berlin, Germany

My Rating
3 star rating: Worth doing

My Review

The tour was interesting, educational and the guide was exceptional. However, this tour is very physically demanding. It involves a lot of walking and standing for hours. There are hardly any places to sit down. I do not recommend it for the physically challenged. To arrive at the camp, you must first walk approximately 20 minutes from the train station through the town with the guide and then touring the camp involved walking and standing to listen to the explanations of what we were seeing.
