Tour guide was knowledgeable and gave thoughtful presentations. The trip encompassed not only Newgrange and Tara Hill but also included a bit of a tour of Dublin and small coastal fishing villages. Learned quite a bit of Irish history.
London, United Kingdom
Warwick Castle is heavily "touristified" containing numerous hot dog stands and a gift shop. Long-winded and uninteresting monologue by someone at the gate preceded being allowed inside, which left us very little time before the bus left again. Similar long-winded goofy soliloquy preceded catapult launch. Tour guide was knowledgeable and gave thoughtful presentations. Oxford was good. "Cotswolds" consisted of driving by a few thatched cottages beside the main highway.
Tour consisted of transportation to museum and back. The driver was fine. The museum itself is interesting but not really worth the price of the tour. Staff in the gift shop are not very interested in customer satisfaction.
Tour guide was very knowledgeable and gave thoughtful presentations. The destinations of the tour, which consisted of cemeteries, actual WWI trenches, museums, attending a remembrance ceremony in Ypres, etc. were well-chosen.
