The tour guide was very knowledgable. We took this tour during the height of the summer heat and tourist season (late July) so it was unbelievably crowded. The one thing that was frustrating was the headsets we had to wear. Evidently, the tour companies in Vatican City all have to use a specific type, but quite frankly they need to get a bid from a few new vendors! Sound was awful, many of the people in our group (which was about 20 people) had issues with theirs cutting out completely. The tour is definitely worth taking because you don't have to wait in 2-hour lines and you get a really good overview of the historical significance of the architecture and artwork.
