A must see! The hotel pickup was very convenient. Tour guides provided interesting facts about Pompeii... A little difficult to understand the Italian accents, but that's part of the experience! Lunch was a typical Naples pizza lunch. I recommend taking one of the walking sticks from the guys at the entrance of Vesuvius... You just tip the guys when you're done and they are very appreciative.
Super fun! The vintage Vespas were easy to use. Our tour guide, Angelo, was very personable and knowledgable. He lead our group of Vespas in a vintage Fiat 500. We went through many Tuscan towns and zipped up and down windy roads. He even let some group members take the Fiat for a spin. Lunch was very tasty. This was the highlight of our Florence trip!
The Vatican museum and Sistine Chapel is a must see. We wanted to do it on our own, but we have heard about the extensive summer lines. The morning was sold out so we opted for the 2:00 on Saturday. We did the Basilica prior to to the Vatican. There was a very long line for the Basilica but it moved quickly. There was no line at all at 2:00 for the Vatican. We waited with our group for about 10 minutes prior to entering and then had to wait about 10-15 more minutes once we were inside for the guide to pick up and distribute the tickets. It would have been cheaper and quicker to go through the line. The skip the line might be more advantageous when you go in the morning, it's not really needed for the afternoon. However, the tour operator was very pleasant to deal with and they were easy to find.
