Unfortunately, it rained on the day that we went to the Pyrenees mountains, so this was the one trip that did not meet our expectations. We really wanted to do some hiking and were very disappointed that it was not possible. We would have liked to have gone straight to the mountains in the morning when in wasn't raining instead of spending an hour in Vic and then going to another village whose name I don't even remember. We were looking for an active tour and weren't very interested in the shopping in VIc. Viator and ExploreCatalunya handled the situation to our satisfaction though, so I have no qualms about booking tours through Viator again. We ended up going on a hiking trip to Montserrat that was fabulous.
We loved the half-day bike tour. It is a great way to see a lot of different sites that you could not cover by foot without taking the metro or a taxi. The cycling is not strenous, so you as long as you can ride a bike and are reasonably fit, there is no problem keeping up. There are frequent stops to learn about the rich history of Barcelona. Our guide, Margo, was great. She shared a wealth of information about a variety of key sites and she gave us suggestions as to what other things we may wish to do while in Barcelona.
