Go first thing in the morning to beat the crowds. My husband and I both loved this, and we're not easily impressed.
I loved the train experience. It gave a view of the landscape that you really couldn't appreciate if you had rented a car and drove. The train personnel were accommodating and gave a lot of interesting information. OK, so why only two stars? It was way too much money for what it was. If the price had included the peak-to-peak gondola ride, that would have probalbly satisfied us, but that was another $40 per person. Whistler is a pretty ski resort town, and they had some fun things to do for kids the weekend we were there, (summertime) but otherwise it is a typical tourist-trap town with overpriced food and shops. Plan to go bike riding or hiking to get out of the fray. Even though the train ride was such a nice experience, I would have skipped the tour package and did it on my own if I had it to do over again.
