London Full-Day Sightseeing Tour

London, United Kingdom

My Rating
3 star rating: Worth doing

My Review

Enjoyable tour. This one was a much more of an "on your own" experience which was fine. The Tower of London was awesome and we even got such for about ten minutes on the London Eye which provided more time to snap pictures. It was all a bit rushed, but I personally didn't have a problem with the timing. However, if you really want to get a better sense of these landmarks, best to come back on your own time.

Enjoyable tour. Took that half day and found that sufficient. Walking in the footsteps of the Beatles was fun. Camden was fun and we went back ourselves the next day to hang out and shop. Knowledgeable tour guide.

My Review

Okay David, I know you are going to read this and it's going to be one of the good reviews!. David is a one-of-a kind tour guide who is very funny and knowledgeable. With a sardonic sense of humor and great timing, off we went to Stonehenge, Stafford on Avon ("they haven't used "upon" for over one-hundred years"--Thank you David!) and Bath, intently focused on his stories of history, some interesting personal disclosures and literate descriptions of the landmarks, we enjoyed every moment.

If you are a person that does not take yourself too serious and want to be truly educated about these landmarks, David is your man. My wife and I are still talking about the fun we had on this tour. By the way David, I really am trying to get back into Shakespeare. We hope you are having a good year with your students at school. Sarah is enjoying her new math students this school year and I was thinking how much our part of Virginia resembles the English countryside.

Until we meet again.
