London, United Kingdom
My wife and I were picked up promptly from our London hotel, and taken to Victoria Station. There was much confusion there regarding which bus was designated for our tour, and our friends actually were directed to another bus doing the same tour. Without difficulty, the two tour guides switched our friends to our bus at Windsor Castle.
I realize that there were many stops on the tour, but more time should have been allocated for the Windsor Castle visit, especially given that there was about a 15 minute walk from the castle through town to where the bus was parked. The visit to Stonehenge was 45 minutes, which was appropriate.
Next came Lacock and lunch. Lunch was at the George, and the food was excellent! We had some time to explore the quaint village and went into a bakery for some excellent short bread.
The town of Bath was interesting to drive through. The stop was at the shopping district, and some of the time in Bath would have been better used at Windsor Castle.
Our tour guide was excellent! It was an extremely long day, but my wife and I were happy that we got to spend time in the English countryside.
