Venice Marco Polo Airport Link Departure Transfer

Venice, Italy

My Review

Viator contracted with Alilaguna, the private bus and water taxi company in Venice. The other bus company is a public company. The Alilaguna driver had no trouble accepting the voucher from Viator. The pick up was for 4:00 AM. I was worried that the driver would not show up. When we got to the Taxi Pier there were two taxies apparently parked. At 3:45 the taxi driver emerged from his boat. He had been sleeping there all night in anticipation of our arrival. He spoke English and asked if we were the ones he was supposed to pick up. This was so much above and beyond what I expected!! The trip to the airport took about 20 minutes which was less than the 45 or more minutes that we had heard from other travel sites. This was excellent. If I could give it 7 stars I would.

Viator gave the trip contract to Alilaguna the private water bus and water taxi company in Venice. The instructions on where to pick up the taxi did not agree with what we were hearing on the Ship. When we got to the location described in the email we received after booking there was the Alilaguna office and the attendant explained in perfect English that, even though we were 2 hours early to get the taxi, he would arrange for one to pick us up in 20 minutes. It arrived promptly. The Alilaguna taxi station is where everyone else boards the "people mover" to get to the public transportation. With Alilaguna we did not need it. The water taxi appeared when promised and took the two of us directly to our hotel dock on St Marks Square. I should note that Alilaguna has a waterbus dock at the same place that takes people to St Marks Square, the airport and possibly the railroad station for a lot less money.

Barcelona Airport Arrival Shuttle Transfer

Barcelona, Spain

There was no one to pick us up at terminal 1 so as instructed we took the free shuttle bus to terminal 2. This is too long to walk by the way. When we got there we easily found the Viator booth which right in terminal 2. The english speaking people there took us to our bus and delivered us to our hotel. They also will sell tickets to the shared bus right there, but we had never been to Barcelona before so having arranged transportation was a big plus.
