Skip the Line: Louvre Museum Walking Tour including Venus de Milo and Mona Lisa

Paris, France

My Review

Our tour guide was fantastic! Clearly a true art lover and historian, I think she would have easily done an 8 hour tour! Lots of walking, so if you have problems walking this isn't the tour for you. If you love art, this IS the tour for you. Not only do you get to see all the classics, but you also get the history behind the paintings and the techniques used by the artist.

Chef Marthe was FANTASTIC!!! We had such a great time and met some very nice people. As a cook myself, I learned some new tricks and came back with great recipes to make for my friends. If you like to cook, definitely take this class. It's fun!

Eiffel Tower, Paris Moulin Rouge Show and Seine River Cruise

Paris, France

My Rating
5 star rating: Highly Recommended

My Review

Dinner at the Eiffel Tower was good, but it is crowded. Our seat was in the corner so we didn't have the best view, but the experience was fun nonetheless. The boat cruise is nice, but not essential for the tour. You see some nice sites and learn some of the history, so if you don't have time to visit all of them it's a good quick tour. The show at the Moulin Rouge is AMAZING! It's also crowded, but it's so beauitful. Not meant for children, however. Just a warning. It's a late night, but so much fun and they drop you right at your door after the evening is over. Definitely a tour worth taking!

Skip the Line: Versailles Palace and Gardens Day Trip from Paris by Train

Paris, France

My Rating
5 star rating: Highly Recommended

My Review

This tour is AMAZING! You board the train with your guide and head to Versailles - walk through the town and get to purchase wine, cheese, macaroons and other goodies you may want. There is a crepe stand in the town square and the crepes "will change your life"! When you first enter Versailles and see the gardens, it's breathtaking. Our tour guide was so lovely and told us such great stories about the different Louies and Marie Antionette. She was SO knowledgeable about the subject matter that we were NEVER bored. It's a very long walking tour so if you have problems with that, this is not the tour for you. Lunch on the Grand Canal was fun and we met lots of new people in our tour group. Having lunch and wine at Versailles was definitely a great way to spend the day.

Champagne Region Day Trip from Paris by Minivan

Paris, France

My Rating
4 star rating: Recommended

My Review

If you like champagne, then you'll love this tour. It's a long ride to Champagne from Paris but getting to stop at a family winery on the way was so much fun. We got to walk in the vineyard, taste the grapes from the vine, go into their processing room and got to see how the champagne is made, bottled, rebottled and stored. And, of course, TASTING! On to Moet and Chandon which is a great tour if a little commercialized. Our lunch was delicious and traditional French food with wine - a wonderful way to spend the day.

French Wine Tasting in Paris

Paris, France

My Rating
5 star rating: Highly Recommended

My Review

One of my favorite things we did in Paris. O Chateau was fantastic and our "guide" was just great. It seems like a light lunch, but you leave there full and feeling quite good after all the wine tasting! We didn't know a lot about French wines so this was perfect. We even stayed after the tasting and did a champagne tasting flight. Great time!

Skip the Line: Vatican Museums Walking Tour including Sistine Chapel, Raphael's Rooms and St Peter's

Rome, Italy

My Rating
5 star rating: Highly Recommended

My Review

Our guide, David, was so much fun! He knew EVERYTHING about the Vatican and told us such great stories along the way. You can tell he clearly loves his job and made this tour not on informative, but fun as well. The Vatican is simply amazing and a must see when in Rome. This is a long walking tour so if you have problems walking, it's not the tour for you. There are a lot of steps to navigate, and the Vatican is not wheelchair friendly.

Ancient Rome and Colosseum Tour: Underground Chambers, Arena and Upper Tier

Rome, Italy

My Rating
5 star rating: Highly Recommended

My Review

My husband's favorite tour! We had visited the Colosseum before on our own, but this took it to a whole new level. Learning the complete history of the Colosseum was simply fascinating. Going down into the underground chambers and "reliving" history was a great experience. Our guides were historians and new everything there is to know about the Colosseum and ruins. The time flew by and we wanted more!
