Best Thai Restaurant in Sydney
Travel Recommendation
Location: Sydney
My Review: Agreed - this is a great spot. The yellow curry is really good. Also note the owners have branched out with the new 'House' location just down the street. Surry Hills is all about Thai food, it seems.

Grand Bazaar (Kapali Carsisi)
Attraction
Location: Istanbul
My Review: This bazaar was the highlight of my stay in Istanbul. What a cool place. You can easily spend hours here, just walking around from stall to stall. The merchandise is mixed - some spices, Turkish delights, pottery, and the like, and plenty of carpets. You can actually get some good deals here if you are willing to bargain and be patient. I bought a rug here, but only after visiting the same carpet shop 5 times over 3 days. At the end of it, it was like we were brothers. And yes, I got "the best price" ha ha.

My Review: Hey Ray - what tour did you take? You didn't mention it. I was in Cancun / Tulum with the family recently and had a great time.

Xel-Ha All Inclusive Day Trip from Cancun
Tour / Activity
Location: Cancun or Playa del Carmen, Mexico
My Review: I took my family here and we had a great day. The scenery and facilities way exceeded my expectations. The whole idea here is to take a massive lagoon and reef, and protect the natural features. While also letting you swim and snorkel and explore it. There's almost too much to do here - we didn't get a chance to go tubing, or swim with dolphins, both of which look good. Instead we spent our time in the water, staring at fish. The equipment here is very good - they provide masks, fins, life jackets, snorkels, towels, the works. My 4-year-old loved it. This is a great place for kids. My only advice is, try to go early in the day, or be ready to lounge in the shade during the heat of the day. It does get hot!

Cancun Airport Roundtrip Transfer
Tour / Activity
Location: Cancun, Mexico
My Review: We took the shuttle from Cancun airport to Tulum (to the Dreams resort). It was a long ride, about 90 minutes, but the service was excellent, the driver was easy to find, extremely curteous and helpful, and it was definitely nice NOT dealing with the swarm of taxis and other drivers. So I would definitely recommend it. Also - we brought our car seats (4 year old, 1 year old) which was not necessary - if you call ahead and let them know, they can provide car seats for the shuttle.

Versailles Small Group Day Trip from Paris
Tour / Activity
Location: Paris, France
My Review: The tour itself was excellent. Definitely worth doing. The only issue we had was some construction, seems like parts of Versailles are being renovated right now, and the large crowds!

Private Citroen 2CV Tour: Essential Paris
Tour / Activity
Location: Paris, France
My Review: This is hands-down the BEST tour we have ever done. Ever! I think everybody who goes to Paris really should take this tour. The driver was incredibly friendly and informative. The car - a convertible! - was fantastic, and there really is no better way to tour around Paris. We felt like royalty, and really can't stop talking about how much fun we had in the Citroen.

San Diego Zoo Best Value Ticket
Tour / Activity
Location: San Diego, California
My Review: Great experience. Took grandma, myself, and my son who is 3, and we all had a great day. The zoo is a typical zoo, all the animals you'd expect. But the exhibits are well done and definitely a step above a normal zoo. Definitely worthwhile if you have a kid like mine who loves animals.

Skip the Line: California Academy of Sciences General Admission Ticket
Tour / Activity
Location: San Francisco, California
My Review: I've lived in San Francisco for more than 15 years, and the aquarium at the Academy of Sciences has been a longtime favorite. I was a little dubious when they closed it for renovations. Luckily the new facilities are amazing. The rain forest dome-walk is incredible, and big favorite with my 3-year-old. We didn't do the planetarium show, but I hear good things about it, too. One note on the skip-the-line tickets. These do let you skip the ticket line (which is long), but you must redeem your Viator voucher at a staffed podium right outside the main entrance. It has a sign for 'vouchers' written on it. It took no time at all to get our tickets, once I found the podium.
Note from Viator: This review is from Viator's Scott McNeely. Read Scott's complete tour report on the Academy of Science over on the Viator blog.

Private Three Day Safari to Maasai Mara National Reserve
Tour / Activity
Location: Nairobi, Kenya
My Review: We had a great drive from Nairobi to the Maasai Mara National Reserve. Saw lots of animals, elephants, lions, baboons, zebra, you name it. The accommodations were top-notch, and the staff were courteous at every step. Highly recommended, especially if you want a safari in Kenya and don't have a lot of time to prearrange it.

Amsterdam Red Light District Walking Tour
Tour / Activity
Location: Amsterdam, Netherlands
My Review: Great tour, enjoyed the insider's look at Amsterdam's Red Light District. Definitely recommend this. The subject matter is obviously explicit, but the walking tour is not too explicit nothing you wouldn't see if you were simply walking through the streets of Amsterdam on your own. It's OK for mature teenagers.

San Francisco Vista Grande Helicopter Tour
Tour / Activity
Location: San Francisco, California
My Review: This was my first helicopter ride, and I really and truly enjoyed it. The views over San Francisco were incredible. The weather on the day we flew was perfect and we could see for miles up and down the coast. The San Francisco Bay was stunning, Alcatraz was cool, but the real highlight was the Golden Gate Bridge itself. We were lucky enough to fly under it (yes! under it!), which apparently only happens on clear days. That was a treat. I can't recommend this SF helicopter tour strongly enough!
Note from Viator: We thought you should know, this review was posted by our very own website director. If you want to read Scott's full report, read the Viator blog post about his San Francisco helicopter tour experience.

Shark Diving Xtreme in Sydney
Tour / Activity
Location: Sydney, Australia
My Review: I thought the shark dive was superb! I did this with two other people from the office, and we had a great time. Read the full report on the Viator Travel Blog. Kelly also posted photos from our shark dive on Flickr. And yes, there's even a video of our shark dive posted on YouTube.
