Skip the Line: Chateaux de Chambord, Chenonceau and Loire Valley Wine-Tasting Day Trip from Paris

Paris, France

My Rating
3 star rating: Worth doing

My Review

I'm going to do a pro and con list below, but wanted to start by saying this was a nice trip. Both castles were beautiful and the winery was very quaint. If you are looking to go to Loire Valley for one day only, this tour was good. If you have more than one day, I would really recommend staying overnight so you have more time.

Our guide, Ben, was wonderful. He offered great commentary on the ride from Paris.
The castles were beautiful- the two were very different and it was nice to see them both.
The lunch at the winery was delightful. My husband and I are very picky eaters and it was nice to have something we both liked (roasted chicken, potatoes, tomatoes, salad, cheese, bread, wine and dessert).

The drive home is VERY long (3.5 hours). Be sure to bring snacks because you won't get back to Paris until after 8pm.
The time at each place is VERY limited. We had to rush through both castles to make it back to the bus in time.
The tour did not include a guided tour of Chenonceau as it stated it would. However, the brochures provided here were the best of any site we visited.
The tour also did not have headsets as stated. We were ok because we were at the front of the bus and always stood next to the guide, but I know several others had a hard time hearing.

Paris Paradis Latin Dinner and Show

Paris, France

My Rating
5 star rating: Highly Recommended

My Review

Had a blast. The show is cheesy at times (girls on motorcycles) but amazing at times as well (the waiter on the unicycle).
We had dinner before the show and arrived late for dinner. However, we were ecstatic that our Viator tickets were considered VIP and we were seated front row center! The couple next to us said "they must be important". The dinner was good, we are very picky eaters so there were some parts we didn't enjoy, but others we did. When we didn't eat our Foie Gras, they asked if they could bring us something else.
The show included everything I hoped it would- a wonderful Can Can and numerous other dances. PLEASE NOTE... The toplessness starts at the beginning and continues. I wouldn't recommend this one for kids.
So, the best thing about the show was the MC. He was AMAZING. He said everything in French and English and kept us involved and entertained the WHOLE night.
