This was the best day of our entire trip to Italy! We drove Giacamo and Paola with another couple. It was so much fun to drive these little cars through the Tuscan landscape (and get out of the cities). I had a small issue with our car, but our guide, David, had no issues getting us back up and going. It was a hoot! Then came the wine making and tasting part of the day. The process was explained and we got to try and do it ourselves. The tasting was delightful. I've been on a few other wine tasting tours and they give you an ounce of wine and move you right along - time and people pressured - not sure with this tour! We got to sit and drink some wine, eat some lunch, all with the views of Tuscany and our Villa with access to the pool. I didn't feel rushed or pressured at all. Best day in Italy!!
I have done a few skip the line tours in other locations and none were more important that this one! At 9am the line up to get into the Vatican was 3 huge blocks long and it was hot out! Make sure to bring a light pair of pants or long skirt and light shirt to cover shoulders - you must cover knees and shoulders to get into the Vatican. The day we went it was over 30C and all we had was jeans. I think we got a touch of heat stroke as there isn't much AC or air movement inside the Vatican. Our guide was lovely and spoke English very well. It was a delightful tour outside of the heat. Very interesting.
