New York City, New York
We waited 30 minutes for the first bus from the start of the Downtown Line. The traffic was horrible due to Veterans' Day. I think someone should have alerted us. We got off at the guide's direction, only to find we could have stayed on for 2 more stops. We walked a long way to Chinatown/Little Italy. When we re-boarded the bus, it took forever to get back to where we needed to be to connect with the Purple Line. In essence, we wasted around $117 each (we were two) for nothing!!! BTW, the tour guide was yelling at the driver to drive more quickly, but it was like riding on a snail!
Our tour guide, Fanny, was absolutely fantastic. It turns out she is an Art/History major, so food was among her interests. We got an amazing tour or Amsterdam, along with great history and great tasting of the best French fries in the world, sausages, unbelievable Edam cheeses, and the most delicious raw herring. What a gem of a tour! We would recommend it to everyone. By the way, the tour includes a beer tasting, but we declined.
