We had several tours while we were in Italy. Our tour guide Claudia was wonderful. She was fully engaged with the entire group she was very informative and energetic. We would do another tour with her in a New York minute!

Rome Walking Tour and Cooking Class

Rome, Italy

My Rating
3 star rating: Worth doing

My Review

The tour part of this package wasn't the best tour I've been on the guide although knowledgeable was not very engaged with the group. I speak both English and Spanish the two languages she was giving the tour in but her delivery was flat in either language. She didn't seem to be enjoying herself while giving the tour. On the other hand the cooking class was really Great we had a very small group (only 4 people). The class was held in the middle of a restaurant which was fairly empty when we arrived but got very busy during the class we learned how to make pasta and ravioli both were remarkably easy to make. Then we ate what we made. It was a very nice experience.

Skip the Line: Vatican Museums Walking Tour including Sistine Chapel, Raphael's Rooms and St Peter's

Rome, Italy

My Review

This was a good tour the guide we had was knowledgeable and informative. She was engaged with the group. She spent some time reviewing what we would see in the Sistine chapel which was very nice because the guides are not allowed to talk in the chapel. The only issue had with the tour was it felt like we ran through some parts of the Vatican Museum the place is huge and one tour would not be able to cover all there is to see there but we had to run past artwork created by may of the masters of art.

Florence Cooking Class: Learn How to Make Gelato and Pizza

Florence, Italy

My Rating
4 star rating: Recommended

My Review

This was a really great cooking class. Andrea was a lot of fun. He made making homemade pizza dough seem so easy. I'm hoping to duplicate that feat soon. The class was entertaining and the group with us was diverse and all seemed to enjoy the class. Gelato doesn't seem that difficult to make either after taking this class.

Skip the Line: Florence Accademia and Uffizi Gallery Tour

Florence, Italy

My Rating
4 star rating: Recommended

My Review

So much to see in 1 day. This was a split tour Accadamia in the morning and Uffizi in the afternoon. Both guides were informative and knowledgeable. The tour at the Accademia thankfully ended inside the museum so we could go back and see the artwork that wasn't covered on the tour. The Uffizi may have started a bit late as we were rushing through because the museum was closing.

Murano, Burano and Torcello Half-Day Sightseeing Tour

Venice, Italy

My Rating
2 star rating: It was OK, but could have been better

My Review

This tour was ok but the speaker system on the boat was shot so it was difficult to understand what the guide was saying. She was working in 3 languages which was very impressive but translating in the three languages made her presentation rushed. It was very nice to visit the three islands and get the history but we didn't get to spend enough time on any of the three islands only 45 minutes on each.
