This tour to the two castles was a excellent way to spend the day. We loved visiting them and would recommend this day trip to everyone. The walk up the hill to get to Neuschwanstein was very strenuous and the next time I would take the bus. It must have been a mile going up the incline to get to the castle. We made it in about 40 minutes. Once inside we were met with Alta the guide. She was not very good as her voice had a high pitch and did not carry to the group of 26. She was talking to the 2 or 3 people next to her most of the time. We are glad we knew info about the castle beforehand. The castle is absolutely beautiful and a fairytale. There's somewhere around 161 steps once you get into the castle. The Linderhof was also very beautiful and a work of art. We enjoyed the day as it was absolutely beautiful weather and could see forever out into the countryside. These two castles are a must see. We have used Viator a lot and have been very pleased with their tours......Just hope you don't get Alta as a guide.
